Description: The aroma has a heavy sweet spicy-animal quality to the aroma, which is earthy and similar to patchouli or valerian. Used in ancient times in religious rituals, as well as used by Mary to anoint Jesus before the Last Supper. Highly regarded in India as a perfume and medicinal herb.
The essential oil contains bornyl acetate, isobornyl valerianate, borneol, patchouli alcohol, terpineol, eugeonol, pinenes, among others.
