Sandalwood-Australian (Santalum spicatum)
Sandalwood-Australian (Santalum spicatum)

* (Sizes) Sandalwood-Australian

Family: Santalaceae
Origin: Western Australia
Process: Steam Distilled- Roots and heartwood

Description: This Sandalwood comes from specially farmed plantations committed to replanting and sustainable yields and therefore a viable substitute for East Indian Sandalwood. This beautiful Western Australian oil is a different species from the Santalum Album species, yet it offers the same benefits and properties as the East Indian Sandalwood for traditional uses. It has the same distinctive woody, sweet sandalwood aroma with a drier top note.

The essential oil contains santalol, santalenes and farnesol, among others. A traditional base note, or "fixative", blends well with any top or middle note essential oils.

Product Application:
Essential oils should never be applied directly on the skin without diluting properly, usually blending with a carrier oil.
