Description: Our essential oil comes from Canada.  White Spruce, is a conifer oil that should also be on your list.  It is also known as Black Hills Spruce, Canadian Spruce, Cat Spruce Skunk Spruce, Western White Spruce, Alberta and Porsild Spruce.  Steam distilled from the needles and twigs of this evergreen tree, the essential oil is clear to a pale yellow with a slightly sweet, typical coniferous aroma. This is a wonderfully invigorating oil is a wonderful when used as an inhalation for a wide variety of respiratory issues to help support healthy lung and airway activity due to colds, flu, and asthma.  Native Americans used the resin to help disinfect wounds and help soothe muscular aches and pains.

The essential oil contains a-pinene, ß-pinene, myrcene, limonene, terpinolene, camphene, ß-phellandrene, camphre, and bornyl acetate, among others.  Some of its properties are analgesic, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-microbial, anti-viral, expectorant, stimulant, anti-spasmodic, and mucolytic.

Essential oils should never be applied directly on the skin without diluting properly, usually blending with a carrier oil.
