Process: Steam Distilled-Needles & Twigs

This large evergreen tree, also known as the Hemlock Spruce, can grow up to 164 feet. It has slender horizontal branches, finely toothed leaves and small brown cones, which yields a natural exudation from its bark. It has a fresh uplifting balsamic aroma. The bark was used by American Indians to make poultices for wounds and sores.

The essential oil is colorless to pale yellow, content consists mainly of pinenes, limonene, bornyl acetate, tricyclene, phellandrene, myrcene, thujone, dipentene and cadinene, among others.
