The Intro to Violin DVD by Jim Tolles is a 60 minute video lesson designed for the absolute beginner. This course will teach the beginner how to read music, how to hold the violin, develop proper bowing technique, and play in tune. Close-ups and split screens show both hands in detail and onscreen notation for all of the music with a bouncing ball type pointer showing each note as it is being played. This DVD teaches the beginner everything they need to know to play the violin.
